When looking at a map we see the oceans, rives, lakes, and streams all going by different names. The Indian Ocean, The Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, the Nile River, ect. When in reality its all one body of water. All connected. All the oceans are really one ocean, and all the rivers flow into the ocean which is all one ocean and all the lakes are connected to the rest of it by the clouds and the rain.
In that way, the water is like people in this world. Despite how far away other people may seem, we are all connected to each other, and our actions, even though they may seem like they won't affect the life of someone halfway across the globe, they can and will. Our world is interconnected.
Since the water is all connected we need to watch how we treat it. Oil and pollution dumped in to the Gulf of Mexico can make it to canada and futher if the currents are right. We need to watch how we treat each other, because it can have an impact on those that we've never met. We need to watch how we live, because it can affect how others in turn live.

A drop of water into a pond creates a ripple. Our every action can create a ripple effect. It is our responsibility to make sure our ripple doesn't cause destruction, but makes things better.
