CHECK OUT THIS WIZARD ROCK BAND!

I want to take this opportunity to commend a wizard rock band that is truly made of awesome. Story time:

For the last 9 months a friend and I have been planning a Literacy Festival for the children in our school system back home. It was a big idea. We secured activities related to reading, we included the libraries and solicited all sorts of donations. One thing we (as avid wizard rock listeners, and lovers) really wanted from the beginning was to have a band perform in order to make it more appealing to older kids and to introduce the idea of taking reading a step further. Our whole goal was to reach kids and to make them excited about books. However, we didn't really have the budget to rope in bands that we wanted and we let the idea fall to the wayside.

Fast-forward to about a month ago. Magically, we had the funds and were again on the prowl for a wizard rock band close enough to the area that they would be able to make. What we found, was Stupefy'd: http://www.myspace.com/stupefyd. They seemed interesting so we called them up and booked them for our event and prayed that it would go well.

IT WENT MORE THAN WELL! Not only were they a great band, but they were really great people. They interacted with the kids and had them come up and learn dance moves. They did a question and answer session and gave them candy. They really went above and beyond what we expected. We had a crowd of upwards of 150 kids and shut down a lot of the activities to divert attention to the band so they were playing to a fairly large crowd which dwindled after a while (as children have short attention spans) but they were fantastic. I think everyone should go check them out, even possibly buy a CD. They are truly truly truly made of awesome and just reminded me in flesh and blood how AMAZING this fandom really is.
