She's right. It's not about doing it so you can fit into your old jeans, but a change in lifestyle. When planning meals just use your basic food pyramid as a guide and do your research on the foods you consume. Adjust portions, and types of food to fit your needs.

Also as an added bonus, not only may you become physically fit, but you hair will become glossier, smoother, more manageable and your skin will become radiant and soft. Your nails improve as well as your teeth. When your healthy your beautiful.

Remamber that excersize does not always equal thin, but toner muscle. You can still be hefty and underneath it have a six-pack. If you wish to burn fat try activities. Even regular housechores can help you dispose of a few pounds.

Positive thinking is also key. When referring to your fitness plans and goals, don't think of it as dieting and weight lifting. Think of it as a health plan. words that doesn't always lead to stress. Don't think about losing weight but disposing or oblivating pounds. You can find that which is lost. And don't be depressed about not disposing of 10 pounds in a week, or tell yourself that you can't do it and utimately give up. You can! You just don't realize it.

In the end you will be more energetic and better for it.

Oh, and the adds on tv about high frutose corn syrup are actually decieving you. Opposed to sugar, which quickly becomes an energy source and is burned up, corn syrup sits in your pancreas(it distributes insulin and metabolics) and builds up. It becomes something, like i don't know, fat. Trust me it's not healthy. The terrible thing is that it's cheaper and more prosperous to produce and buy than sugar. More farmers are switching. Hence why they are using propaganda to convince you that it's okay.

If you are looking for "Healthy" tv and you use directv, then try Veria, channel 9575.

I don't believe in diets. Moderation and exercise are the best way. There are a few that have to seriously reduce caloric intake possbily, but dieting does not work. The reason is that you don't establish good eating habits.

You are simply dieting to lose weight and shortly after you lose the weight, the old habits resume!

Double Fiber bread by Nature's Own is really good. It has a great texture in a sandwich and doesn't get soggy when you add tomatoes! It has Omega 3- 15mg EPA and 10mg DHA per slice. Each slice only has 50 calories and half a gram of fat. It has 2g of soluble fiber and 3g of insoluble fiber. So it should lower cholestoral like oatmeal and help you feel full longer! Also each slice has 3g of protein and 6% iron. Not all Nature's Own bread is exactly like the Double Fiber variety.

Hi everybody would you believe I just found the blog., I don't have myself together enough to leave any comment there, you all are so great and organized! I am at 129 pounds now, and I'm just 5'1" I'd like to be down to 120 anyway. I have had some bouts with anorexia, so I have to watch myself they made me gain weight and then I gained too much.. What I'd really like to do is stay away from sweet stuff, but I can;t do it completely so right now I'm just having a very small amount, and really watching the carbs. I like the saying If it's white, don't bite... I like whole grain stuff...

Hey everyone! I'm so exited for this! And I think it's awesome there is a NY group. Yeah Arletta, we should totally get some others here in Seattle involved!
